2020 Season return to play information
We are ready to play ball! Thank you for having your child(ren) participate in our 2020 Summer Season. As we begin practices this week, below are some important updates we would like to share:
Teams: All teams have been formed and players will be notified no later than Wednesday July 8th. If you registered a player and have not heard from a coach by Friday July 10th, please email us at email@example.com. We will be offering the following divisions
Baseball- Juniors, Majors, Minors, & Coach Pitch
Softball – Majors & Minors
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Teeball or Coach Pitch Softball divisions at this time, however, we are exploring other ways, such as player clinics or “sandlot” days, for children in this age group in the coming weeks.
Games: Games will be scheduled starting Monday July 20th and run through approximately mid-September. An official game schedule will be published and communicated early next week. Typically, teams will play 2 games per week.
Payment: The cost to play for the season is $50 per child. Checks, payable to BMT LL, or cash can be given to your player’s coach. Please note – the Summer 2020 season is being administered through a separate registration and accounting process than the Spring season. Unfortunately, we are not able to apply any credits requested from the Spring as they will carry over to 2021. If you have questions regarding payment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Waiver: All parents are required to complete a waiver for each child participating in our season. They can be completed 2 ways:
Paper: You can print, sign, and return the attached waiver to your child’s coach.
Electronic: You can access this link and complete the waiver electronically (you may need to copy and paste the URL to your browser).
Waivers need to be completed prior to your child first practice.
Return to Play Guidelines: Utilizing, CDC considerations and other best practices, we have established return to play guidelines for players, coaches, and spectators. Attached is a copy. This is a document that we be reviewed continuously and updated as our situation evolves.
In addition, there are also two key directives that were announced last week by our governor’s office regarding masks and travel to certain states that we are expected to follow. More information is included in the links below.
We are excited to offer boys & girls the opportunity to play ball this season in a safe, yet fun manner. Your support and cooperation during this “Special” season is greatly appreciated.
